Tiger Text: the Newest IPhone App
TigerText is currently available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Coming soon to Blackberry and Android platforms.

For all you Tiger Woods wannabes, there is finally "TigerText". The newest Apple iPhone app, pun very much intended, deletes text messages that you may regret ever sending or you may regret anyone else ever seeing. If you happen to be a drunk texter or a cheater you may want to invest in the TigerText app. It's free for the first 100 messages in 15 days and it's only 1.49 per 250 messages sent per month. Once you have it downloaded and sign up for an account, it connects to your phone and you'll be protected right away.
Message recipients must also download TigerTest , and then they can read the message for free. You can set a time span for a text, such as delete within two hours after delivery whether it's been read or not, or delete on read. This means that the message will delete itself 60 seconds after the recipient has opened the text.
The messages are never saved on your phone, the recipient's phone or your carriers database, they are only saved on the TigerText server, which the vendor reports is purged every sixty seconds. The messages cannot be forwarded or copied. However, if someone truly wanted to see you destroyed badly enough they will always find a way, right?
There's also a delete history option that deletes all evidence of any conversation from your own device upon exiting the application, although the application doesn't save the actual text messages anywhere, if "delete history" is not enabled it will keep a record of when, and to whom, you send texts, on your device.
According to a Time Report, the app was actually named before the Tiger Woods scandal, and is aimed at people who are simply concerned about privacy. This doesn't necessarily mean people who have something to hide as Tiger did. TigerText founder Jeffrey Evans expects that lawyers and CEO's are more likely to be interested in this type of privacy than cheating spouses or sexting teens.

this app is useless to iphone users because you can copy and paste the text before it autodeletes or you can do a screen capture of the text. it sounds like a good idea but in reality the text message can copied, forwarded or screen captured.

this app is so cool. i was out with my girlfriends the other night, and one of them sent a text message to a former boyfriend that was unreal!! i couldnt believe shed have the nerve to say what she said!! anyways, she told me not to worry because of the message lifespan feature that automatically deletes a text message after a certain amount of time. she set it to be erased in 30 minutes, so as long as the boyfriend didnt read it in that time span (my girl cindy knew he wouldnt be up at 4am), she was safe. this app is so cool. now that i have it, next time im out drinking i can use it when im texting. hopefully ill have one less regret!
