Thin is the New Big at CES 2009
The first product we took a look at today was the LG LED Super Thin TV which has already been acclaimed as one of the best innovation products at this years CES at only 0.97 Inches thick! It uses LG’s Panel Speaker technology and has built in wireless HDMI up to 35 meters via line of sight. Another TV that caught our eye on the LG stand was this funky designed frame that breaks away from the normal boring piano black frame design. In the coming months we expect more manufactures to adopt the use of coloured bezels into their TV range, Sony have already started producing their in 5 colours.

LG LED full back lit TV at only 0.97 Inches is one of the show stoppers of 2009.

From the side angle is where really appreciate the LG’s thinness.
We loved the new designer frames from LG.
Great detail on the new LG frames.
The Panasonic Viera Plasma Prototype is one of the best looking screens we have ever seen.
If we thought the LG was slim you can imagine our shock when just round the corner Panasonic were showing off a 0.3inch Plasma TV with a brushed stainless steel frame. Although Panasonic didn’t have any other specs to tell us, I think the pictures speak for themselves.
The Sony stand was packed as usual but we did manage to get our hands on the new Sony Viao Lifestyle PC and the new super thin LCD TV with wireless HDMI. We also managed to get some pictures of Sony’s new range of Mini Video Cameras that we expect to hit the shops in the UK in the 2 quarter.

Sony KLV-40XZM is available now in the US for $4000. It uses Sony’s wireless HDMI to send the picture and sound signals to the super thin screen.
The mini Lifestyle PC makes the Asus EEE-PC look simply overweight. But at 5 times the cost of the Asus we think Sony may have a job on there hands shifting this PC in any big numbers in the UK.
Sony's Lifestyle PC comes in 5 colours which have been inspired by “Car Colours” so the Sony representative told us!
Sony MHS-CM1 is expected to be in the shops in the UK by the end of Febuary, priced around £110.
Sony new Webbie HD Camera comes in two designs. Both have 5x Optical Zoom and can record in 1440 x 1080p.
Sony’s new 21” OLED display expected to be launched towards the end of 2009. Also in the picture is its baby brother Sony XEL-1.
Over the next couple of days we will be keeping you up dated with all the hottest gadgets at this years CES.
