The introduction of the Terabyte at CES 2007 is set to take the data storage world by storm!

Hitachi is preparing themselves for the release of the long awaited Terabyte which to the Average Joe is the next step up from the Megabyte with its trillion bytes. It goes without saying that this is major news for companies and businesses that demand data storage, which inevitably continues to grow.

Just to give you a true picture of what a terabyte is all about, according to a study carried out by UC Berkley, ‘400,000 terabytes of email get produced every year and about 50,000 trees would be necessary to create enough paper to hold a single terabyte of information’.
