Sony's Vaio G11 Series is Big News for Businesses

Big business seems to be Sony’s latest drive with their new G11 series.  Externally, the robust construction is prepared for the inevitable knocks and drops of daily life.  Internal benefits include the flagship Windows Vista Business operating system.

Sony’s Engineers and designers have put their heads together and provided the latest Intel Ultra-Low Voltage (ULV) processor, giving more power in exchange for less energy.  Sony claim the battery will last a typical working day.

As nervous Sony product designers sat by, extremely tough drop-tests were performed, some as far as 90 cm have proven the G11 series is more than able to withstand the odd bang or scrape.

Reasons for launching the ‘Big Business’ G11 series were due to a niche at the top-end of the notebook market according to Jun Koyama, Marketing Director of Vaio Europe, he said: “We did not want to offer business customers an acceptable notebook, we wanted to provide them with an excellent one.”

The G11 series will feature a compact 12.1-inch XGA resolution screen, a super-fast wireless network connectivity and a handful of security features including fingerprint recognition.

Online buyers can get Sony’s special model, the Vaio VGN-G11VN/T featuring a premium brown carbon fibre finish and a larger 2GB internal memory instead of the smaller 1GB memory.
