Sony has taken part in a wide range of genres including music, TV, film, and all sorts of technology. In knowing that consumers are looking for technology that has a wide range of functions, Sony has created "The Tester". It's Sony's first reality television series that will broadcast on the Play Station Network next week. 51 Minds Entertainment will act as Sony's production company as they have lots of experience with the reality TV platform. The shows plot will center around 11 contestants as they compete for a dream job (to some) as a Sony Computer Entertainment America video game tester. The winner will receive the job and a five thousand dollar signing bonus.
Sony attempts "great shows in pop culture and society" the Senior Director of the Playstation Network explains. TV content will be available for free on the Playstation Network. "The Tester" is just the first step in Sony's plan to change the the network from a place where PS3 players meet to a full interactive library of movies and TV shows.
