Sony PSP Mobile Phone - Coming Soon?

Its no secret that Sony has had some stiff competition in the past few years what with Nintendo smashing there console dominance with the Wii and the Apple iPhone eating in to there Sony Ericsson Mobile sales. Well now the old rumor that Sony aims to launch a PSP Mobile Phone is back again and this time with a bit more substance after the Japanese business daily Nikkei reported that Sony plans to form a skunkworks team whose job it will be to design a hybrid video game-cell phone gizmo—one that taps the company’s years of producing PlayStation Portable gaming consoles and Sony-Ericsson handsets. Sony Still won’t confirm or deny the rumors but they did say they were considering “various possibilities.”

I personally would love to see a PSP Mobile Phone that could really give the iPhone a run for its money. They could even run the apps through the PS3 "Home" portal. To gain real market share though Sony would need to make the phone business friendly and that’s some that Sony Ericsson has struggled doing in the past few years.
