Sony GPS-CS1 tracks pictures

But it doesn’t matter any more.  See this canister like gadget, this is going to solve those problems for you as long as you’ve got a Sony digital camera.

The Sony GPS-CS1 is a GPS device that has nothing to do with Sat Navs.  It’s such a simple idea we can’t believe no one’s thought of before.

You attach the GPS-CS1 (not the most inspiring name) to your Sony camera, then every time you take a photo the canister stores information on when and where your pictures are taken.

Once you get home and connect up your camera to your PC, as you browse through your pictures the software provided transfers all the stats across.  It even gives you thumbnail pictures on a map.  Brilliantly easy.

And the fact it only weighs 55g means you won’t need an able assistant to help hold it and also as it runs on Ni-MH battery you be able to keep it running for over 10 hours.
