SanDisks Sansa View video takes the MP3 player world by storm

SanDisk have had the pleasure of sitting back and watching the MP3 player world take shape around them and then jumped in with their own version, creating a masterpiece themselves.

With a similar appearance to the Apple iPod Nano and iPod Classic combined, the Sansa View is a very slim and tall video MP3 player with a highly competitive streak. There are many similarities to the iPod Nano and even the Creative Zen with its availability in 8GB and 16GB capacity, a 2.4” screen, a dial control interface, a 30fps playback and WMA and WAV for audio.

Battery life is definitely worth bragging about, with 35 hours of audio playback and 7 hours of video playback, which we would like to state, puts the Zen and Nano well and truly in the dark.

There is also a FM Tuner thrown in with 20 presets and a microSDHC card slot for additional storage as well as a voice recorder with built in microphone.

So, some pretty attractive features to get other manufacturers quaking in their boots, but to us, the best is yet to come and that is the pricing. SanDisk are putting the 8GB Sansa View at a measly £100 and the generous 16GB model at only £134.
