Samsung unveil 4G mobile communication

Confused?  You won’t be for long.  We’ve all heard of 3G and its ability to make video communication on your phone, and we all know how clunky it can be.  Well Samsung is about to show off 4th Generation mobile technology which will make everything super fast.

4G will have the power to transfer a jawdropping100 MP3 files in 2.4 seconds or a whole movie in less than 6 seconds.  Now that’s what we call fast.

Samsung will be demonstrating their 4G mobile technology in Korea next month.  And they’re going to do this in a Keanu Reeves “Speed” kind of way.  They’ll have a bus moving at speeds of 60km/h while transmitting data at a speed of 1Gbps – that’s 50 times faster than current Mobile WiMAX technology.

It’s so fast they’ll be able to show 32HD channel broadcast downloads while giving instant access to the Internet and video telephony.

But don’t get too excited just yet, it’s going to be a while before it hits the market.  Samsung say their 4G mobile communications format is expected to become commercially available around 2010.
