Samsung recreates a true cinema experience at home with the launch of DLP projectors

The use of DLP ™’ technology guarantees simultaneous reproduction of deep black tones and accurately represented primary colours, bringing subtle aspects of the cinema experience to the home.

Designed to suit the needs of the home theatre market, Samsung’s H710 features a 250W lamp with ‘theatre’ and ‘bright’ modes to properly illuminate screens from five to ten feet wide and its six-segment colour wheel further minimises visible sequential colour, increases contrast ratio and ensures simulated 10-bit processing.

“Ever since consumers started to integrate digital projectors into their home theatre systems, the market has focused on achieving brighter, more lifelike visual images provided by a CRT,” said Ami Randhawa, Product Marketing Manager for the Display division at Samsung UK. “The market race for image brightness has come at the expense of image and colour quality, distorting both these projector elements. Samsung’s TV and display manufacturing experience alongside DLP’s ™ technology has created a projector that meets consumer demand for natural images without compromising the image quality and colour.”

Key features:

Advanced DLP technology:
DLP’s latest DLP panel, the HD2+™ dark chip 3DMD guarantees a resolution of 1280 x 720 and produces an image equivalent to that of CRT.

Precise colour reproduction:
Samsung is the first projector manufacturer to select colour coordination values that are accurately consistent to the specific broadcasting format, guaranteeing accurate colour projection and allowing users to freely select colour coordination for the broadcasting format of their specific region-NTSC, PAL-SECAM, or ATSC.

Considerable convenience:
Numerous input terminals, including DVD-D (HDCP), Component 1, Component 2, S-Video, Composite and PC input, remote control with backlight and adjustable lens ensures easy installation, operation and screen adjustments.

Whisper quiet:
Samsung’s H710 fan operates at just 20dB in theatre mode, eliminating any noise interference and ensuring users don’t miss a word.
