Plasma prices fall as LCD & LED TV takes over
When looking for a new TV, its certainly worth researching into the Plasma TV market where many models are having hundreds of pounds slashed off their price tags. This is great news for consumers who want a good quality TV at a low price as Plasma provides high quality images along with many great features and strong performance.
While Plasma performance is strong, LCD technology has come on in leaps and bounds and offers new features such as higher refresh rates and contrast ratios both resulting in improved and enhanced image quality.
Due to the difference in Plasma and LCD/LED technology, eco factors are also taken into consideration and as Plasma screens use gas powered by electrical volts compared to LCD's using an electrical charge to liquid crystals and LED TV's using LED lighting, Plasma does not tend to be favoured because of the affects they have on the environment and the amount of energy they consume.
However, even though some manufacturers have come to the conclusion that LCD is the way forward, others such as Samsung and Panasonic are dedicated to the improvement of Plasma TV's and are striving to keep their costs low, energy consumption low and image quality high.
Here are some examples of Plasma TV's at great prices:
