Panasonic Word Gear portable book reader
 | After talking about the Sony PRS-500 portable reader last week, it looks like Panasonic will be releasing their own version too. The Panasonic Word Gear portable book reader is ready to pounce on literature lovers. While it’s not got the e-ink or the massive battery of the PRS-500, the Panasonic Word Gear doesn’t look too bad. The 1,024 x 600 Word Gear portable book reader will come with a 5.6 inch screen, large enough to read with comfort, and the fact its multimedia friendly being able to handle audio, video, stills and electronic books, makes it an ideal replacement for the portable DVD player or PMP. You’ll be able to control the Panasonic book reader by using the E Sensor, a touch sensitive controller and there’s even a stylus with a battery life of about 6 hours. Panasonic say the Word Gear portable book reader will cost around $350. |
