Nokia unveil 2 new phones – Nokia 7500 Prism & Nokia 7900 Prism
Nokia have gone for a whole design for their new range of mobile phones and have given them a refreshing new look which has been quite a challenge but they have still managed to keep them looking, well, like a Nokia.
The two models are the Nokia 7500 Prism and Nokia 7900 Prism which, as the name suggests, have a 3 dimensional prism design with funky geometrics patterns, including triangular mosaic buttons. The stylish new design is certainly unique; however there is a new feature that Nokia have included, to our delight. This feature is the screen which is an OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode), meaning they use much less power than an LED or LCD screen. By incorporating this into a mobile phone screen it will result in a longer battery life and will also support 16 million colours and displays light-focused screensaver graphics. There will also be a ‘living wallpaper’ feature on the 7900 model which will change depending on the amount of battery and signal, as well as the time of day.
| | To personalize your phone, there is a choice of 49 colours to set to shine through the keypad and lights will be shone through the top of the phone when you have missed a call and received a message. The Nokia 7900 Prism features dual band 3G technology and quad band GSM, as well as a 2MP camera and 1GBof internal storage. The Nokia 7500 Prism is the more musical of the two models with 9 hours of music playback and with an additional 2GB microSD card can store 1500 tracks. It also has a 2 MP camera and can record high quality movies. The two Prism phones will be available by the end of September 2007 and will cost around EUR 400 for the 7900 and EUR 210 for the 7500.
