As if last weeks wrist strap incident wasnt enough to test the patience of those Wii owners with holy TVs this Christmas, well it appears the fun has only just begun. The problem came about when bloggers mentioned that the fairy lights on their Christmas trees were interfering with the Wiimote control. One blogger wrote: In the last couple of days my Wii has been acting weird in not picking up the Wiimote on the side of the Christmas tree and I could never figure out what was wrong, well tonight I turned off the Christmas tree and it fixed my problem. |

And it appears the bloggers were right as Nintendo has admitted that there is an issue. Tongue in cheek Nintendo said: In exceptional conditions where the Wii sensor bar is sat near a direct light source, there may be some minor interference. They suggested yesterday For the best performance of your Wii, avoid bright light sources behind or near the TV, shining towards the Wii remote or reflecting off the screen.
Unbeatable will be on Wii-watch to bring you the latest adventures of the Wiimote.
