The Motorola i1 smartphone has a super bright 3.1inch touch screen LCD, 5 MP camera, four touch responsive buttons with 5-way navigation, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
It is launching in the US this Summer, on the Nextel iDEN networks. The i1 has a super rugged body and robust features making it the perfect smartphone for those who like to throw their phone around or otherwise work on a construction site for example. iDen devices are usually built this way which is why they appeal to outdoor industries, however the Motorola i1 has all the ruggedness but with a sleek and stylish finish.
The i1 can withstand rainstorms, dust, shock vibration, extreme temperatures, humidity and low pressure. It will run with Adroid OS 1.5 with push-to-talk technologies which are used by pressing a button on the side of the phone or tapping an icon on the home screen.
The Motorola i1 will be out in the Summer but pricing is yet to be confirmed.
