Microsoft release Beta versions of Office 2007, Windows Vista, and Longhorn Server

Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Longhorn Server are the first major releases for Microsoft since Windows XP was introduced five years ago.

The products promise a much better computing experience for the end user including better security, media results, gaming experience and movie editing.

However, Microsoft has been plagued with glitches and the release of these three products has constantly been held back.  Both Vista and Office were expected to hit the high street later on this year, but Microsoft has now announced that the official launch is more likely to be at the beginning of 2007.

In the meantime consumers will have to do with the beta versions (second stage of testing the software) of Vista and Longhorn which will be available for us to test in the coming weeks.
