LG and PRADA launch the LG KE850 Prada to compete with the iPhone
| LG has announced today the launch of the LG KE850 PRADA mobile phone which the company claims to be the first completely touch screen mobile phone. The same claim was made by Apple last week at MacWorld Expo about the new iPhone and that is not the only similarity. | The new LG KE850 is the result of the collaboration between LG Electronics and Prada, one of the world’s leading brands in the luxury goods industry and it has been designed to be a truly fashion accessory. The KE850 Prada comes with a 3.0 inch display with a resolution of 240x400 pixels and like the iPhone, it includes a 2 megapixel camera and a LED flash. It’s a bit smaller than the iPhone, measuring just .8 × 54 × 12-mm, but it also lacks some of the features offered by Apple’s new baby, like Wi-Fi and on-screen keyboard. MP3 Player is also included on the LG-Prada mobile phone with the option to expand its storage capacity via a microSD card slot. The LG KE850 Prada comes with a video player that supports MPEG4, H.264 and H.263 and a document viewer to allow users to view documents in PDF, PPT, XLS, DOC and TXT formats. |

The new LG KE850 Prada will cost €600 and it will be available from the end of February in mobile dealerships as well as selected PRADA stores in the UK, France, Germany and Italy and from March in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.
