LG LED TVs Get launched

LG has just launched two new ultra-slim LCD TVs with LED Backlighting the new models are both 55 inch.

The new models named the  55LH95 and 55LH93 have a total of 3,360 LEDs backlighting them - seven times more than most back lit LED TVs currently avaliable.

According to LG the extra LED backlighting gives a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Along with a refresh rate of 240Hz. Whats most impressive though is that LG have managed to squeeze all the technology in to a screen that is only 2.5cm thinck. One of ways in which LG have managed to get the size down is by having a wireless feature which lets you send your content from your DVD players, games consoles and home-theater units wirelessly. Hopefully the content will be transfered as if it was wireless HDMI.

The televisions should be available towards the end of July in Korea as of yet we have no word from LG on a UK lauch date.
