Kodak PlayTouch Pocket Camcorder Announced with 1080P Video Recording
Oooh what’s this? Kodak have announced a new pocket camcorder! The PlayTouch, with 1080p video and stereo audio recording capabilities, has a 3 inch touchscreen, HDMI output and integrated USB connection for connecting the camera directly to an LCD TV and Plasma TV or PC respectively.The footage is stored onto interchangeable SDHC cards (up to 32 GB cards).
If you’re looking to improve on the built-in stereo microphone audio quality, to match the 1080p video quality, you can attach an external mic thanks to an integrated audio input port. On the other hand if you’re not looking for the highest production quality, and you’re just interested in filming the next YouTube video sensation you can simply connect the camera to your PC or Mac laptop or desktop PC and hit the camcorders ‘Share’ button and upload your masterpieces directly onto YouTube and Facebook, Magic! Alternatively you can also e-mail your clips directly to family and friends rather than sharing them with the rest of the world.
So far we only have US pricing and availability, weighing in at $229.95 (roughly £150 English pounds) and it’ll hit stores some time this Autumn, we’ll let you know when we hear more from this side of the pond!
