Kodak EasyShare M590 Announced - World's Slimmest Digital Camera!

It's a record breaking monday thanks to Kodak who have announced the EasyShare M590, a 5x optical zoom digital camera slimmer than any other! OK so it's a bit specific to 5x optical zoom cameras, not all digital cameras in general, but it's cool none the less. This is the second announcement from Kodak today, following the Kodak PlayTouch pocket camcorder which we reported on earlier here.

The EasyShare M590 will set you back $199.99 (roughly £130 English nuggets) and comes with some nice, if not a little run-of-the-mill features, such as 2.7 inch LCD screen HD capture (we don't know what quality yet) microSD card slot for image storage, face recognition and image stabilisation (no specifics yet either). It's a bog standard setup, bolstered by it's 'worlds thinnest' title, but if you looking for a tiny holiday snapper then it'll tick all the boxes.

Like the PlayTouch digital camcorder, the EasyShare M590 comes with a snazzy 'Share' button for instant delivery to your YouTube, Facebook or Flickr accounts when connected to an Internet enabled PC or Mac Desktop or Laptop. Nice features so far, but a little sparse on the details, hopefully Kodak will provide more information soon, like UK pricing and availability too. So far we know it'll be available this fall in the US, so probably the same in the UK.
