Hauppauge WinTV HVR-3000: the world's first triple tuner TV card

Plug the WinTV HVR-3000 into a free PCI slot in a desktop PC and voilá; it converts the PC into a digital TV. When you connect it to a TV aerial and/or satellite dish, you will be able to view programs in full screen or in a resizable window and, thanks to the SoftPVR software supplied, you will also be able to schedule and record programs for later viewing. The recorded video can be stored in your PC’s hard drive or burned to DVD.

In addition, the HVR-3000 includes an FM tuner, allowing owners to listen to and record FM radio, digital DVB-T radio or digital DVB-S radio. And the product includes a remote control!

"TV is delivered across a wide variety of mediums in the UK, each with its own set of channels," said Yehia Oweiss, EMEA VP of Sales Director of Hauppauge Digital. "This is the first TV card that is capable of receiving all the free-to-air channels and offers the flexibility of connection to other external sources, such as camcorders, VCRs, set-top boxes and even games consoles."

The new HVR-3000 costs around £99 and it’s compatible with Windows XP (SP2) and Windows Vista. Drivers for Media Center are also available.
