Pocket-Lint have been on the phone to Three UK and have found out news regarding the inevitable Android 2.1 update, unfortunately they have quoted Three as saying: "Mid to late July" for the release.
So even more waiting for some unlucky HTC Hero customers. This has been the longest running update delay we've ever known and it's extremely frustrating to think some HTC users are enjoying the benefits of Android 2.2 on the Google Nexus One handset before Hero have even been able to download 2.1.
Hurry up HTC and stop keeping everyone waiting. We really hope the same is not going to be true for the HTC Wildfire, Desire and Legend, which are expecting the Android 2.2 Froyo update within the next 4 weeks based on what HTC have announced.
