
Leaked specs from HP have resulted in this comparison of specifications, by Engadget. It highlights the advantages of the HP Slate against the iPad along with those where the iPad overrules.
There are some great plus sides to the HP Slate including the VGA webcam and 3MP camera, 1GB RAM and 1.6GHz Atom processor. These could be major advantages to some along with some of the other features that make the HP Slate more user-friendly than the iPad. (Something we never expected to say).
The HP Slate has a battery life of only 5 hours compared to the whopping 10+ from the iPad. We suggest you think very carefully indeed, before you jump on the bandwagon and snap up an iPad. If e-reading is what you're after, the HP Slate could be the better option.
The HP Slate will be priced at $599, which is around £395, and it will be launched at the end of April.
