Googlephone launched - Nexus One

The Nexus One is a 3G GSM smartphone with a 3.7 inch OLED touchscreen and 5MP camera with LED flash and 2x digital zoom which also records video at 720x480 and 20fps as well as geotagging images. A 1GHz chip powers the Nexus One, which is reportedly the fastest chip in any phone so far and an accelerometer, digital compass, ambient light, noise canceling microphone, voice enabled keyboard to enter text, animated wallpapers that respond to touch, and all the Google apps that you need such as GMail, Google Voice, Google Maps and YouTube to name just a few.

So, the Nexus One has a larger screen that the iPhone as well as having a few extra features that put it in full competition of the head of the league, but now Apple have some serious, but healthy, rivalry and will have to work hard to keep up with Google's addition to the market. This is really the first time that Apple have some serious rivalry and rather than sitting back and letting the iPhone do its stuff, Apple will need to get back to the drawing board to stay in the game.
