Google Maps for Android - More Free New Features Added
Google have updated the super popular Google Maps application and added reviews, transit information and a friend finder update to Latitude.
We're still not over the amazing free Maps Navigation app that Google kindly released a few months back, not to mention support for bicycle routes. And now they've gone a step further with the version 4.3 update.
Now you can read reviews about places from directly inside Google Maps, much like the Places Directory app (also by Google). As well as reviews, Google Maps now has transit information integrated into the application, which gives you the ability to click on Bus and Train stations for live train arrivals and departures.
Latitude has also been given an update and now searches your contacts for other potential Latitude users, a well needed feature which we ere happy to receive.
All in all this is another great update to the already excellent Google Maps app, it's available on the Android Marketplace for compatible handsets now, in fact you may already have the update installed and might not have noticed, like me!
