Playstation 3: The latest Playstation 3 hit the shelves in September 2009 with a 120GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD). A new sleek design has been used to ensure it fits in with your home entertainment system. The new PS3 also doubles up as a Blu-ray player for high definition playback of movies and games and has built-in Wi-fi. The Playstation network offers over 15,000 pieces of digital content ranging from games titles, trailers and demos with more than 15,000 films and TV programmes via the Playstation Store. A games controller and cables are included.

XBox 360 Elite: The Xbox 360 Elite also has a 120GB HDD along with an extensive on-line service which offers a huge amount of HD movies and games. You may also connect your MP3 Players or Laptop/PC to the Xbox 360 and watch your own content. Xbox games are available in HD 1080p with multi-channel surround sound. The Xbox Live Marketplace allows you to purchase game add-ons or movies and also offers access to Facebook, Twitter, SkyPlayer and more. A games controller and headset are included.

Xbox 360 Elite
Nintendo Wii: The Nintendo Wii has made many headlines since its launch back in 2006 and has sold 4.9 million units to the beginning of 2009. It has 512MB of internal storage and is the smallest of the games consoles. It has Wi-fi and communicate wirelessly with the Nintendo DS, and there are two USB 2.0 ports. The Wii games collection is constantly growing with hundreds available. It is now available in white and black and has BBC iPlayer on board too. The Wii doesn't play Blu-ray at present but there are rumoured plans for this to happen in the near future.

I have to agree, this article is way to short and only provides a fraction of information and commentary one would expect to see in any kind of Buying Guide.
