Facebook Turns Six Today

It seems like just yesterday when Myspace and I went our separate ways and I was left yearning for a social networking site with more depth.  Luckily, some friends introduced me to Facebook and we have been in sheer bliss together ever since.  That is why, I couldn't let this inaugural day pass without wishing Facebook a very Happy sixth Birthday.  Where would your 400 million users be without you?

Well, according to recent studies, without Facebook, we would be without a majority of our news source.  Research by ReadWriteWeb's Marshall Kirkpatrick, explains that Facebook is the No. 4 source of visits to News and Media sites after Google, Yahoo and MSN.  Future predictions for Facebook in years to come include e-commerce platforms or recommendation engines.   Regardless of the direction that Facebook decides to take us, we look forward to the ride.
