Facebook Changes Privacy Settings
The giant social networking site, Facebook has upset its users.
It's a happy day for stalkers as Facebook has taken away the individual users ability to control privacy settings. Starting on December 10th, Facebook users were asked to change the settings that control which connections/friends can see what information. However, users were only given two options, one keeping their settings as is, or two, opening up all personal information for everyone to see.
The Electronic Privacy Information Center also explained that information such as names, profile photos, lists of friends, geographic locations, and networks are all areas that are "no longer subject to users' privacy settings." Despite the many complaints, Facebook hasn't discussed reversing any of these changes. It will be interesting to see how many users they lose over this privacy issue.
