Epson P-3000 and P-5000 Handheld Multimedia Storage Viewers launched

Yesterday it was Canon, today it’s Epson with the P-3000 and P-5000.

If you want to be in with the “in crowd” you’ll want to get yourself a handheld multimedia storage viewer.
Ideal for carrying your photos around and far more attractive than a photo album, the new Epson multimedia storage views can hold up to 40GB and 80GB of photos, music and video files.

While there are several photo storage viewers around which go for a standard three colour LCD, the Epson P-3000 and Epson P-5000 come with a four-colour filter system that display 16.7 million colours making it perfect for showing off everything from the professional snap to your holiday pictures. 

Epson has made the two latest versions 250 percent faster than the older P-2000 and P-4000, and has increased the size of screen.  Now the Epson P3000 and Epson P5000 come with a four inch LCD at 640 x 480 high resolution.  This makes it ideal for viewing or downloading thousands of JPEGs and RAW photos, or videos (MPEG4, DivX – yes it even accepts DivX) and music with either a 40GB (Epson P-3000) or 80GB(Epson P-5000) hard disk drive.

Charged on a rechargeable lithium ion battery you can check your snaps for up to three hours.  It also comes with a built-in Memory Cards slots: Compact Flash and SD and direct printing via the USB 2.0.

The Epson P-3000 and P-5000 will be available in October.
