Denon launches Hi-Fi system with Hard Drive and LAN Connectivity
New Hi-Fi system that allows you to store up to 10,000 songs. Denon has launched the first Hi-Fi system to include an Advanced Hard Disk Recorder and Internet radio, the Denon D-F103 DAB. The unit is a standard mini system (with two speakers and a built-in amp) letting you play either CDs or the digital music files stored on the internal drive. The Denon D-F103 DAB has been engineered for high-quality sound using audiophile design & components, with its amplifier running up to 35 watts per channel RMS and Auto Preset Memory for your FM and DAB stations. | | The new Hi-Fi system comes with a modest 40GB Hard Drive that will hold around 10,000 songs. You can plug-in and play music directly off your USB-equipped DAP, rip your CDs in PCM(WAV) or WMA files straight to disk, and even stream MP3/WAV/WMA audio from any DLNA or Windows Media Connect server on your home network thanks to the Ethernet port on the back of the unit. The Denon D-F103 DAB also includes USB support for transferring songs from or to a PC or MP3 player and LAN connectivity for logging on to web radio stations. The unit does not support Wi-Fi, but you can always add an adaptor. Denon has also launched the Denon ASD1R iPod docking station to allow iPod users to connect their iPods to the Denon D-F103 DAB system. The new ASD1R iPod dock will give you full control over your iPod from the D-F103's remote control and will allow you to listen to the songs stored on it through the superb speakers that come with the D-F103 DAB Hi-Fi System. Denon has been the first manufacturer to include a Hard Disk Recorder in a home Hi-Fi system, but they will not be the last one as competitors are already developing products with similar features.
