D-link release new range of WiFi routers

D-link DIR-655 WiFi Draft-N gigabit Ethernet router

The four products; the D-Link Xtreme N Gigabit Router (DIR-655), Xtreme N desktop and notebook adapters DWA-552 and DWA-652, and the RangeBooster N USB Adapter (DWA-142) have all been designed to boost WiFi around the home and office.

While the two Draft-N wireless cars the D-Link DWA-552 is for desktops and the DWA-652 is for your laptop, the daddy of the bunch is the DIR-655 WiFi Draft-N gigabit Ethernet router which is the industry's first Gigabit Draft N router to incorporate Intelligent Wireless Quality of Service (QoS) Technology that automatically prioritises high-bandwidth, latency-sensitive wireless data traffic, allowing you to experience smooth streaming HD video, lag-free gaming and jitter-free voice over Internet (VoIP) calls.

And finally the last of the bunch, there’s the D-Link WiMAX router which combines the new wide-area wireless standard and traditional WiFi in the same box and supports WMAN and PHY protocols, as well as adaptive modulation.

D-Link's new Xtreme N Gigabit Router (DIR-655) will cost around $199.99 and $119.99 each for the Xtreme N Notebook Adapter (DWA-652) and Xtreme N Desktop Adapter (DWA-552). The RangeBooster N USB Adapter (DWA-142) will retail at around for $149.00.
