Creative Zen Introduce the Zen – A credit card sized MP3 player
The Creative Zen, a credit card sized MP3 player with a massive 2.5" screen and a totally cool list of features, gimme one!
| Creative seemed to have struggled to think of an imaginative name for the new MP3 player and have therefore settled on Zen. At least, the Creative Zen Stone was a little bit imaginative. However, the name may be plain but there are some great features on board that could have Apple quaking in their fruity boots. |  |
First of all, there are three to choose from with 4GB, 8GB and 16GB models with an SD memory card slot for extra storage. The media that is supported is pretty good with MP3 WMA, AAC4, WAV and Audible 2, 3, 4 music formats as well as MJPEG, WMV9, MPED4-SP3, DivX3 4/5 and XviD3 video. An FM tuner is there too, with 32 preset radio stations and a 5 band equaliser for you to err, equalise. There is also an organiser that will connect with Microsoft Outlook, alarm alerts and a voice recorder. The battery life is quite impressive with 25 hours of audio playback and 5 hours of video playback. The little mite only weighs 65g with credit card dimensions and is only 11.3mm think. The Creative Zen will be available in the US in September, and we can expect to see it here soon after.
