Canon Media Storage M30 and Canon M80 unveiled

Photo albums are so last century – if you want to show off your photos today, we suggest something like the Canon M30 or M80 media storage devices.

Launched today these two Canon media storage devices come in 30GB and 80GB hard drives and allow you to view your family photos on the modern day, totally portable photo album.

While the Canon Media Storage M30 and Canon Media Storage M80 devices are targeted at the professional photographer who wants something slightly bigger than their camera LCD to look at things, we think it’s something households will be embracing too.

The large ultra-bright 3.7 inch TFT screen is ideal for viewing your holiday photos on as well as a 160º viewing angle to makes sure those sitting next to you can also see your masterworks clearly. 

Made out of robust magnesium alloy bodies the Canon M30 and Canon M80 will have a CF and SD card slot and support images in JPEG and RAW format, video and sound files and come with a USB2.0 for hi-speed connections.

And it’s powered up on BP 511A batteries which are used in various EOS models including the EOS 5D, EOS 20D and EOS 30D, as well as professional products such as the WFT E1 Wireless File Transmitter.

Unfortunately there’s no price or date set yet for the release of these two products, just that they’re coming soon.
