Blue-day for owners of Blu-ray
| As the saying goes ‘good things come to those who wait’, in this case, it couldn’t be more true. As of October 31, new Blu-ray players will support improved functionality, providing more compatibility with various disc types, and more futuristic options.
No nonsense advice from the professionals is to simply stay away. Even Sony’s Blu-ray players due to launch this summer are lacking a picture-in-picture feature. Other Blu-ray players falling short of a good spec include Sony’s PS3, Pioneer and Philips.

| Current owners of Blu-ray players may have already noticed shortfalls when playing the latest Blu-ray discs, requiring a higher functionality level. The soon to launch Matrix DVD will be requiring a higher spec player, as will other big titles following in its footsteps.
So, diddums to those rich kids that got one at the first opportunity, but hooray for Blu-ray as of October 31. |
