Whether you're an avid gamer, movie watcher or sports fanatic, there is plenty of content to go around these days. When you aren't soaking all the 3D content your little heart can take, the 2D will be phenomenal in its HD glory. Read on so you can make an educated 3D TV decision.

Samsung LE40C750

One of everyone's fav's thus far, it's also very reasonably priced. At well under £1,000, it still offers a higher specification than most 40-inch LCD TVs. It has an active shutter model which in translations means it can show full HD1080p 3D pictures. The 3D glasses aren't included in the price of the TV.

The Samsung LE40C750 also has the Internet@TV platform which opens tons of doors all from your living space. You will have access to Twitter and other web services and be able to watch videos from services like LOVEFiLM. Also available will be streaming videos, music, and photos from your Samsung TV to your PC via the DLNA.

Sony KDL-46NX713

If you're thinking of going a bit bigger although still ultra thin at only 31mm in depth, perhaps you should check this out from Sony. At 46 inches, the Sony KDL-46NX713 comes with edge-mounted LED backlighting adding for a bit of contrast and saving power. Similar to the Samsung LE40C75, you will need to purchase the 3D necessary glasses separately as they don't come with the 3DTV.

Perks to this Sony 3DTV include a Freeview HD tuner and built-in Wi-Fi which allows you to connect up to the web for a several services including BBC iPlayer, YouTube and even your home network for DLNA media streaming. You can hook up to gaming devices, set boxes and Blu-ray players using the 4 HDMI inputs that come on the TV.

Panasonic TX-P65VT20B

If you can afford to show off and don't mind spending the extra money to do so, this is the 3DTV to do it with. At 65 inches and 1080p1080p the plasma has the best picture you can ask for. Its contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, provides intense darks and allows for great detail in even the gloomiest  of scenes.

Active 3D is awesome especially on Plasma due to its fast refresh time.  With a plasma TV each 3D frame is on screen for the just correct amount of time and doesn't remain after. Unlike the other two 3D Tvs we have discussed the Panasonic comes with two pairs of 3D glasses in the box. Other extras include Viera Cast Internet services and built-in Freesat HD along with Freeview HD tuners. We saved our favorite for last!
