Avatar DVD Release Dates - Can They Be Believed

James Cameron has let the cat out of the bag and told Wall Street Journal that Avatar will be released in standard DVD & Blu-ray in April 22, with a special edition DVD and Blu-ray 3D version arriving in November. The arrival date of the 3D version is a all important,  because we expect Panasonic to tie in the launch of Avatar with the launch of their 3DTV range.  Panasonic are the exclusive audio visual partner on the film and have provided some of its latest AV technology products to help create the 3D blockbuster.  

However it seems as though not everyone is singing off the same hymn sheet with Fox Entertainment issuing a statement that “3-D is in the conceptual stage and ‘Avatar’ will not be out on 3-D Blu-ray in November.” Personally I think November makes a lot of sense for all parties, lets just hope Fox got this wrong.
