Apple unveil the new ‘iMac’
Steve Jobs is a busy man, this week unveiling the new all-in-one Apple iMac which he states is ‘the most incredible desktop computer we’ve ever made’. What a statement.
The new iMac includes a scratch resistant aluminium casing and a glass screen which is available in either a 20” or 24” size. With the operating system remaining the same, Mac OS X Tiger, you are ensured of a safe system as well as Apple promising to include some heavy processing power. There are 2 versions of each size model with different processing engines which affect the pricing.
| | The 20” model comes with the option of a 250GB hard drive up to 750GB, a 2GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM, whereas the 24” model has the option of a 1TB (terabyte) hard drive. Apple have decided to ply the new iMacs with a low price structure as the 20” will start from £799 and the 24” £1149 which is £100 cheaper than the original model. It arrives with a Bluetooth mouse and a wireless, and very slim, keyboard as an optional extra. They are available to order from the Apple Store now, so get raiding those piggy banks.
