Apple Offering Free Repairs and Refunds for Faulty Time Capsules

Finally, after nearly 3 years of dragging their heels, Apple have agreed to reapir faulty 2008 era Time Capsules for free. It's not often that Apple admits defeat and acknowledges faulty products, let alone agreeing to repair them, so if your'e one of the unlucky ones, then your luck is about to change. The last time Apple acknowledged faults was back in February with the hard drive issues in 2006/2007 era MacBooks. We hope you don't also have a faulty Apple MacBook, that would be unfortunate.

If you have already paid to get you'res repaired and are kicking yourself then STOP, because you too are in luck. Apple have also agreed to reimburse you for your troubles, with a full refund. We assume you'll need proof of the repair and most probably only repairs taken out by Apple or an authorised repair centre will be eligible for the refunds.

Apple Time Capsule models that are eligible for repair are those bought and sold between February and June 2008. Of course this won't make up for your lost data and all the trouble and minutes you undoubtedly wasted in Apple stores, phone support and forum posts can't be recovered, but at least your wallet will be a little fuller!
