Android smart phone sales overtake Apple iPhones

Even though the Apple iPhone 4 has enjoyed outstanding sales since its launch in June, sales of Android phones have been even more successful with a report by analyst group Nielson stating that Android hold 27% of the market share with Apple securing 23%.

The iPhone offers lots of amazing features and has been further improved upon with the latest version offering consumers a handset that rivals have always found difficult to compare with. Until now. Google's Android OS compares well to the Apple OS and offers many unique features across a number of impressive handsets. Many manufacturers have chosen to include the Android OS with their smart phones, giving consumers a varied choice, however with the Apple OS is only available on the iPhone.

If you take a look at the bigger picture, it is still clear to see that the iPhone is managing to compete with the increasing number of smart phones that offer the Android OS. For this, Apple should be proud, especially with the complaints it's had to deal with since the launch of the iPhone 4.
