Android Honeycomb Only for Tablets?
The next version of the Android OS to follow Gingerbread, will be Honeycomb. Gingerbread will be version 3.0, so Honeycomb will be either 3.1 or 3.2. The name sounds very tasty and edible indeed, but what will the actual ingredients, sorry features, be? That's the question we are all so intrigued to know. How much better can the best operating system get?
Gingerbead 3.0 will bring additional features such as a suggested bluetooth keyboard, improved battery usage, improved video, and an updated Android Marketplace. This version is set to be launched before the end of the year, and with many still not on the Froyo 2.2 version, it could be a little premature. However, the rumours suggest that Gingerbread, and Honeycomb too, will have more of a tablet focus rather than smart phone, and may not even be available for phones.
The number of phones with the Android OS overtook Apple phones sales for the second quarter of 2010, securing 27% of the smart phone market.
