An updated iPod Touch is also welcomed
The long awaited Apple event 'Lets Rock' took place last night in San Francisco with the delights of Jack Johnson, the biggest iTunes seller, making an appearance, but was it worth the hype?? As we mentioned, the iPod Nano had a cosmetic overhaul and for the better with a few minor additions to its successful package and the Apple iPod Touch also got a few small changes too. |
The Apple iPod Touch | The iPod Touch has been rounded on edges to match the likes of the Nano and the iPhone, an in-built speaker and side volume controls to match the Iphone, and 36 weeks, oops we mean 36 hours (now that would have been more interesting) of continuous music playback and 6 hours of video playback from a single charge. This new model will come with firmware 2.1 software and also offers Nike+ built-in. Wowsers! The iPod Classic has been skimmed over with the only change being that the 80GB and 160GB models are due to be put on the scrap heap and replaced by a single 120GB model. Not sure who was supposed to be impressed with that change?? So pricing was supposed to be one of the most interesting changes and some price drops were on the cards for sure. The Apple iPod 120GB Classic will be priced at £179 and the iPod Touch will be priced at £169, £219 and £279 respectively for the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB.
