Samsung Explained Samsung are great producers of cameras but the variety can be a bit confusing. There’s a selection of SLR, designer and basic cameras. But all their ranges of digital cameras come with good megapixels, decent sized screens and plenty of functions. What Ranges are available? The nine ranges of the Samsung are: Digimax I Digimax S Digimax A Digimax L Digimax V Digimax Pro Miniket VP Samsung NVP Samsung GX Is this the same around the world? If it’s a Samsung camera then you can expect to call it by Samsung anywhere in the world. What is the difference? There's a whole selection of cameras from the SLR range (GX series) to the point and shoot S and A series. Each model is different in style, design and size. The letter reflects which family of camera each device sits in and generally the number at the end indicates the resolution of the camera. So for example the Digimax L60 suggests it's from the Premium range and is a 6 megapixel camera So, What are the ranges?
Samsung SLR These cameras are solid, chunky SLRs. As the SLR range the GX-1S and GX-1L are slightly more powerful and have facilities like manual focus and aperture adjustments. Samsung Digimax NV range The NV range is the latest to be added to the Samsung range. The designers went for a slender black finish to these 7.2 and 10 megapixel cameras. While part of the same family the zoom varies slightly in each with the NV3 having a static zoom, going up to the NV10 with its telescopic zoom.
Samsung Digimax Pro815 The Samsung Digimax Pro815 has a great 8.3 megapixels and comes more functions than the next model up which is the Point and Shoot range. Samsung Digimax Premium L and V range Here the word premium signifies style and class. Samsung have pushed the boat out with the L and V range of digital cameras. Designs for the L and V are very retro and stylish in a range of black, grey and red bodies. Samsung Digimax Point and Shoot S and A range It’s as easy as A,B,C with the S and A range. The S range of cameras is more boxed and square in design while the A series is more rounded, but they all have three things in common: simply designed, trouble-free digital cameras that anyone can use. Samsung Digimax Slim range Without favouring Canon the Slim range, the i series is the IXUS of the Samsung range. And every manufacturer should have one. Slim, slender and designed for total mobility, the Slim i series look great as well as having a good spec. But it’s the design you pay for. A Quick Comparison of ranges
