my son has a hd ready ditigal tv with built in freeview. He would like a dvd recorder with a built in hard drive. Most I've seen have built in freeview. How does this work if the tv already is set up with freeview?

If the Tv hunts for freeview channels and the dvd recorder does the same won't they clash od does one cancel the other out?
