Which Vaccuum

David Chan would like to know the answer to the following question, if you have a suggestion then please post a reply:
Hi - Looking for a vacuum cleaner to clean carpets and kitchen/Bathroom floor tiles. Which one would U recommend? Also, you don't seem to sell VAX machines. Are these any good? Upright or the back breaker ones? We're looking to replace our Dyson DC01 bought in 1997.
