Depending on what age your child is, you'll want to make sure you buy the right car age appropriate car seat. There are various regulations depending on what country you travel in, so make sure you know the laws depending on where you live or travel. Generally, the type of car seat that's best for your child is decided by age and weight. It is noted that rear facing car seats are the safest and it's best to keep your child in these seats for as long as possible. Car seats have an expiration date 6 years from the date of manufacture so you will need to purchase a new seat if yours is more then 6 years old. Also, never buy a used car seat if you are unaware if it has been in a previous accident. Lastly, always place the car seat in the middle back seat as it is the safest spot in the car.
