Yes the base stands on all the Toshiba LCD Tv's are removable.

I can't work out how to remove the base stand! Any hints please!!

At the back of the TV a few inches up there is a set of 6 screws (there was on my 42wlt66) remove this and the base section will slide down from the TV.

how do you get the stand of a toshiba wlt68 32 tv??

The screws in my tv where hex heads and once I removed them the whole base slid out from under the tv. They look like they shouldn't be removed but go ahead. See the toshiba canada website and look under the support bullitins section.

hi same prblem 42 incn cannot see how stand comes off 6 screws are present
